Victoria in Bloom – A garden song

0:02

Well, I used to potter, but not

0:04

not like I do now.

0:05

When I moved in here, I just thought, I want a garden bed in there.

0:09

So that went in and then it just kept getting bigger and bigger.

0:12

Just everywhere.

0:17

-How did you find the time to do all of this?

0:20

Because I've got a gardener.

0:23

-so you're the director?

0:25

I am the director.

0:27

And the pay for the plants and everything else.

0:31

Because I'm disabled, it's hard to do the weeding and things like that.

0:35

So that's why i’ve got a gardener.

0:36

She put things where I tell her to put them

0:38

and the biggest challenge is

0:40

now i’ve got two big gardens

0:42

sometimes I can be out there for three hours out the front watering.

0:47

My gardener calls me the watering queen

0:51

Everybody calls me the watering queen

0:53

Once I start, I can't stop.

0:54

I'm addicted

0:57

addidcted to watering.

1:02

For my mental health has been brilliant.

1:05

Just gives me a focus to get up each morning to

1:08

to go and tend my garden.

1:11

It just makes you feel good and makes me feel good.

1:13

If nobody says anything. It makes me feel good

1:16

I'm just out there watering and thinking, oh, that's beautiful.

1:19

Look at that coming on.

1:21

So yeah, just waking up in the morning.

1:24

knowing I've got something to look after.

1:28

I love my new garden

1:29

we only put this in last year and i just love it.

1:35

It’s a retreat out the back here.

1:36

it’s my little retreat

1:39

and just watching things grow and flowering.

1:42

I love it.
